About Us

The Joplin Disc Golf Club is a Missouri Non-Profit Organization dedicated to promoting disc golf to the local 4-States community, as well as helping provide and maintain clean, safe parks through this family-friendly sport. Over the past decade our organization has held free community events to teach individuals and families about the sport of disc golf along with hosting benefit tournaments for charity, including raising $1,800 at our 2017 Relay for Life tournament and annually raising food and money for Soul’s Harbor of Joplin at our Ice Bowl tournament in February.

The officers of the club are elected positions from current club members. These positions keep the relationship with the Parks & Rec departments, coordinate course maintenance, run the club leagues and tournaments. The current officers are:

  • President – Andrew Jinks
  • Vice President – Michael Cory
  • Treasurer – Todd Calhoon
  • Secretary – Kevin Carder
  • Course Coordinator – Matt Shead
  • Course Coordinator – Micah Funderburgh
  • Course Coordinator – James Childers
  • Course Coordinator – Brandon Hickey
